Rock & Roll Gallery
So what do cartoonists do when not pressed to be brilliantly creative on demand? Dream of being rock&roll stars, of course. And dream is as far as it goes when you're too stoopid to learn an instrument. But the next best thing is to latch onto rock stars like a sycophantic leech. Now that I can handle!
Over the last several years, I've met and filmed (Video bootleg) quite a few bands on the small/medium time level (Where REAL rock&roll happens, Daddy-O!). Most have been incredibly nice people, especially those I've gotten to directly work for. It's been a distinct pleasure to have been associated in some way with The Groovie Ghoulies, The Eyeliners, and Lisa Marr's (Totally underrated) various bands (Buck, The Beards).
Most of this type of art is done on spec, then foisted on poor unsuspecting bands. Promises get made, tears get shed, but that's the biz. |

"Beach Party Ad"
Best thing I ever worked on. An oldie from the amateur press days. A riotous, great script by Mike Kanterovich. While a more loving pastiche of AIP's beach party film series you will not find, we did make one goof: We named the Candy Johnson character "Vegetable", mistaking her film character's name to be "Animal". Wrong. Candy's character name was in fact "Candy". Duh!
Here it is in its entirety…
